God's sign 1. Do not choose something which looks like the garden of the LORD for myself.

So Abram said to Lot, "Let's part company. If you go to the left, I'll go to the right; if you go to the right, I'll go to the left." Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan was well watered, like the garden of the LORD, like the land the Egypt, toward Zoar. (This was before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: (Gen 13: 8-11).

Yesterday, I listened to Sidney's sermon who is a assistant pastor of Meadowledge community baptist church since a senior pastor is in his vacation. Through this sermon, I believe that God gave me some sign to my prayer for future ministry.

When Abram asked Lot to choose an area to avoid the quarreling, Lot looked and saw the good land like the garden of the LORD for himself. Abram asked Lot to choose first. He sought Lot's benefits. He consider LOt better than himself in humility (Phil 2:4). His attitude is the same as that of Christ Jesus (Phil 2:5).
However, Lot sought his desire and benefits by looking just appearance of something. He did not see hidden meaning and purpose. As a result, his area finally was destroyed by God since evil and wick culture.

Sidney mentioned Lot's decision is like Eve's looking.
"When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." (Gen 3:6).

She fixed her eye on what looks good for herself.

How should I go for God's ministry?
I need to choose what God want me to go, not mine and for myself.

please, help us have desire for the ministry for your kingdom, not for my desire and reputation.
please, Heavenly Father, give us your wisdom to wait your direction.
please, lead us to be and go the place that you intend us to go.

please, prevent us from the temptation which looks like your blessing.
please, let us deny ourselves and take our crosses.
please, help us follow your way.

I pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Day 21 for the church, for the gospel

Heavenly Father, I do not have the church which I need to be united in Christ.

please, give us the church that is your body in which we want to serve the gospel.

where should we go ?

help us see your direction.

"since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church" (1 Cor 14:12).

"Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults" (20).

"what then shall we say, brothers? when you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church" (26).

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace (33)
 But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way (40).

Heavenly, Father.

I want to serve for the gospel.
please, remind us of your gospel which leads to our salvation.(15:1,2)

Just as Paul did, even though I do not deserve to be called a teacher, a preacher, or a disciple, or a  Christian, I would like to work hard for your gospel through your grace. please, be with us, give us your grace which enables us to work hard. (15:9-10).

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through out Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain" (15:57-8).

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love" (16:13-4).
"if anyone does not love the Lord- acurse be on him. Come, O Lord! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen." 22-4

Heavenly, Father
please, help me improve my English to do for the gospel.

Heavenly, Father

make me to focus on you. I know my desire and my boast.
I
want to love you with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, so please, help us know what it means.

Father, help us finish all assignments until due date.

day 20 I don't have love

Thank you God for letting me know that I do not have love through 1Corinthians 13.
I really don't have love, I am nothing.
I need to realize more you, and your love, and my sin.

please, help me, and teach me, and guide me.
please, God help me understand your true love and you. I am still seek myself.
I am not patient since i don't know how you are patient to me.
I am not kind since i don't know how you are kind to me.
i envy since my focus is on me since I do not have love for others.
i boast since i am arrogant, and i think i have power to do myself without you.
I am proud of me inner heart since i think i can do something without you.
i am rude to others since i consider myself better than others.
i have self-seeking since i am selfish.
i am easily angered since i judge others all the time.
i keep thinking wrong things since i do not depend on you.
i delight in evil but do not rejoice the truth since i have my own standard and am weak.
love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
however, i always do not protect, trust, hope, and persevere.

God, help me love you and others with your true love.

day 18

"These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it... 1Cor 10:11-13
Everything is permissible-but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible-but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, for, The earth is the Lord's, and everything is in it... 10:23-26

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved." 10:31-33


Heavenly, Father
Thank you for this day and health through your grace and mercy.

Thank you God

please, encourage us to obey you and endure what you intend us to be!
please, give your wisdom in preparing summer courses
please, give your will through your Words and prayers in the Holy Spirit.

please, let us be strong physically and spiritually.
please, lead us to seek your good and others' good.

Especially, recover our bodies in your mercy.
